Working on your self-confidence – With these 10 tips you can build your self-confidence!

Time to get started. These 10 tips will make you radiate more self-confidence again.

Face your fears

Realize that you are not alone with the fears you have. The voices in your head that try to talk to you about everything that is not true at all.

Find out what fear is causing your negative self-image. Are you afraid of what others think of you? Afraid to be different from others? Afraid of not being good enough? Afraid that no one likes or likes you?

It’s all in your head. Accept your fears and don’t shy away from them. If you dare to be yourself, you are a much nicer person.

2. Just be yourself

Just be yourself. You don’t have to live up to the expectations of others. Listen to your own feelings. Do what feels good to you and what makes you happy.

Your life will be a lot more fun if you do the things that you find fun and important. Instead of doing what other people expect of you.

Every time you say no to something you don’t want, it gives you a bit more confidence, because you listen to yourself.

Get fit and healthy

When you are fit and healthy you feel better. You have more energy, you look better and you feel better. Time to do something about it.

So instead of settling down on the couch in the evening when the children are in bed, you start moving. Go for a walk, run, bike, go to the gym. Do something!

You will be proud of yourself and feel more energized. Get a better figure.

Eat healthy too. Your body and brain need a healthy diet to feel healthy. This makes you feel fitter and healthier which also works wonders for your self-confidence.

And get enough sleep to feel rested. Feeling rested is extremely important. Then you can take on the world!

Take care of yourself

We mothers are good at caring for others. But how often do we take good care of ourselves? Too often we forget that!

So take time for yourself. Be kind to yourself. Don’t be so strict. Provide me time. Then you feel better and you are a nicer mom.

Start trusting yourself and who you are again. Say the following to yourself, “I am good the way I am.” Repeat this to yourself several times a day. Stick a note on your mirror to read it every morning and every night. In the beginning it will feel uncomfortable, but the more often you say this to yourself, the more this is what sticks in your brain and what you will feel.

Dress yourself well

Dressing yourself makes you feel good. Clothing has a huge influence on how you feel.

If you stay on the couch in a house suit all day, it will not make you feel better.

So take off that suit and get your best clothes from the closet. Bet you feel a little better right away!

6. Stop being a perfectionist

Oh, how we would like to do everything perfectly! But that also makes it so difficult for ourselves! There is absolutely no point in being a perfectionist.

Life isn’t perfect and it doesn’t have to be. So stop that perfectionism. It gives you so much more confidence in yourself when it doesn’t have to be perfect. When good is good enough.

Go through life with a smile

People who laugh look more beautiful and seem more confident.

So even if you are new somewhere or if you don’t feel comfortable still put a smile on your lips. Smile and say hello to people in the street.

It makes you feel better and people see you as a person full of self-confidence. Which gives your self-confidence a boost. Just test how this works.

8. Let go of what others think of you

When you lack confidence, one of your biggest fears is what other people will think of you.

But let that go! It is not important what others think of you. People will always have an opinion about you. Either they like you or they don’t.

And also know that most people are far too busy with themselves and their own life to worry about you for a long time. Often you think in your head that someone thinks something about you, but that other person has been busy with himself for a long time.

The easiest way to learn to let go of this is to stop worrying about others. Accept everyone as they are. As soon as you do this, you will notice that it becomes less important to you what other people think of you.

You worry about yourself and your life. No longer about the life and opinion of another.

Look at the things you have achieved

You are often so inclined to look at what you do not have yet or what you cannot yet do. Not really good for your self-confidence.

Shift your focus. Focus on the positive things in your life. On the things you have achieved. On the things you can do well. On the things you do have.

Be proud of and grateful for this.

10. Accept compliments

If someone gives you a compliment, you are quickly inclined to tone it down. Or to think that the other does not mean that.

But accept the compliment and believe it. Someone says it for a reason!

Positive affirmations for more confidence

Affirmations are a great way to change your life. To train your brain to think different things.

Affirmations are positive phrases you say to yourself every day. You imagine that you are already that person full of self-confidence.

By saying these positive things to yourself and feeling them, your brain will learn to think differently.

These positive affirmations for self-confidence are going to help you further.
